Just Curious Survey: IF someone you know said to you "clean your ears out" how would that make you feel

.

We'd be all like, hey, that's not something to be monkeying around with cause we could hurt our inner ear and stuff, and FYI that really should be done by a professional, so unless you're gonna pay for it, take a hike.

What would YOU do IF this ever happpened to YOU?

Just Curious Survey: IF someone you know said to you "clean your ears out" how would that make you feel
SAY WOT,im not sure i heard you!

thats me saying it to the kids sometimes,i feel like repeat Pete, constantly saying things over+over, man my house should be named Echo echo echo!!
Reply:I don't think thats exactly what that means! Sometimes people choose to be selectively "deaf" and they only hear what they want to hear. Kids do that all the time....either by choice or because they get preoccupied and don't hear because they aren't paying attention. Tell them to clean their ears out is just a snide remark meaning perhaps if you clean your ears out you'll hear what I'm saying to you.
Reply:Huh? What?

What do you mean "IF?" LOL ...

It would make me feel like I was missing something that was being said. I'm slightly hard of hearing, and a little ADD on top of it, so sometimes it takes a little extra to get my attention. I guess if someone just met me and said it, I'd get upset. But if it was a friend who was justifiably getting tired of repeating herself, I'd just try to listen a little harder.
Reply:I get that all the time. I'm losing my hearing because I spent too many years with head phones on as loud as I could take it. That's the thing about hearing loss, once it starts, it doesn't stop, even if you take away the problem. I didn't know that part before, but I doubt it would've changed my habits.

Anyway, when someone says that to me I just laugh. And go find my head phones.
Reply:I would think they were implying that I was not listening / paying attention to the sufficiently.... or worst case scenario That I were Deaf !!!

lol ...I tell the young tadpoles and the ole toad that all the time.

...%26amp; ask that they wash behind them too!

they all suffer from the same affliction: "selective hearing"!

...Hmmm or is that just plain ignoramychoreus's
Reply:As in "aren't you listening?" - I'd feel like I need to pay attention.

As in "you're ears really are gross" - I'd wonder why the heII anyone is looking that closely at my ears.
Reply:Depends if they said it with a jokey tone.

I always make sure I clean my ears because if someone were to notice wax build up and mention it I'd be horrified.

I think a sign of a dirty person is not having clean ears.
Reply:it would make me feel worse..mainly because Im already going deaf. So needless to say, I would feel bad. But on the other hand, it would make me stop whatever Im doing and pay attention. Or listen more closely.
Reply:That was an old expression used to tell someone, can't you hear me, clean your ears out. Goes way back!
Reply:What?

Could you repeat the question?

Wait a minute, that's better, just cleaned my ears out.

LOL
Reply:I think they want you to listen to them.
Reply:I would say, "Huh?"
Reply:if it bothers them that much, they can clean them for me
Reply:umm, i'd probably be like ahh!!

then go into the bathroom and clean them out, :P
Reply:it means listen.
Reply:i dnt know what i would do in this situation....
